“What is poetry?
To see the world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour”— William Blake

  • Here’s to trying out new things

Since the inception of this new phase
Life has been funny, I must say
All the lies I once believed
Crumbles like dust bit by bit
    Things I swore I couldn’t do,
    Things I couldn’t ever imagine,
    Is basically now my reality
    It’s all strange yet exciting
To discover new aspects of my being
To tests the limits I set on me
To break free from the shackles around me
Here’s to trying out new things
    I could never imagine.

  • Do it now

Time is not your friend you see
Not much time left, do it quick
Rest not much or you will see
That time has passed by in a blink
Do it now is what I preach
So that your goals, you can reach

  • International Women’s Day Poem.

Happy International Women’s Day. The theme this year is DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality.

She would be denied no longer
She’ll demand her rights quite louder
She’ll stand on her ground more stronger
She’ll be the great woman that she is
She’s equal to the task you see
Amazing is really who she can be
She’ll rise quite higher than the sea
She’s as the sun high in the sky
She is the mother of civilization
    The queen of innovation
    A vessel of creation
    A wave in technology
She is a woman capable, intelligent and innovative

  • Warrior Queen

To all the warrior queens out there who have through God’s help, overcome and conquer life challenges. We are conquerors through Christ Jesus.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
    Isaiah 40:29 NIV
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
    Philippians 4:13 NIV

A WARRIOR QUEEN BY HIS MIGHT

Clothed in robes of red and gold
Clad in bravery strong and bold
Like the sun, she shines so bright
    Clothed in majesty and might

In her eyes are tales untold
Of how she fought through heat and cold
Of how she battled day and night
Of how she braved a woeful plight

And all the way, God’s on her side
The mighty One has been her guide
Her strength and might comes from the Lord
    Forevermore He’d be her God.

Bright she shines like the candlelight
High she stands on the loftiest height
Roots for what is just and right
A Warrior Queen all by His might

  • When the Light is Hard to See

WHEN THE LIGHT IS HARD TO SEE

When the light is hard to see
Look to heaven, you’ll find peace
When the darkness seem to dim
Learn to put your trust in Him
When the storm is raging loud
His light shines forth through the cloud
And when the way seems rosy too
Give thanks to God for He’s with you.

  • Little Girl, Big Future

    LITTLE GIRL, BIG FUTURE

    There’s that little girl
    Who dreams about the future
    Who wishes and hopes
    To become successful
I must do all it takes
To make her dreams come true
    I must make her proud
    Of her future self.

  • Take A Moment..

The world already has so many distractions to sidetrack us from our personal growth and development. Take a moment to work on yourself today.

    Take a moment…
From the ticking of the clock
From the hustle on the street
From the dailies and the news
    Take a moment…
From the scotch of the sun
    From the haste of cars
From the noise on the street
    Take a moment…
To see the beauty that lies within
    The potential you carry
    The talents unexplored
The gold mine in your hands
    The future in your heart.
    Take a moment…
To rest and plan for the future
The world waits for no one.

  • I Will Conquer

    I spoke to my mates
    “Let’s march to the gates
    Let’s scale the great height
    Let’s fight the good fight”
    We arose with hope
    We believed we would cope
We set out as an army
    Marching to victory
    We encouraged each other
    We upheld one another
    Two miles gone
    And some chose to run
    Five miles gone
    Many fled and did turn
    Ten miles gone
    Hundreds disappear before dawn
    Twenty miles gone
We’re now a few by morn
    Fifty miles gone
    I alone blew my horn
I rest my eyes on the hills
    Resisting the nervous chills
    “I have come
    I have seen
    And will conquer”

  • The Sun Will Shine

There are times when we face dark situations and it feels like all hope is lost. I want you to know that you are not alone. Keep believing, keep hoping and know that the sun will shine. Happy New Month to you 💜

    THE SUN WILL SHINE

    Dark tonight
    With no light
    Hope is gone
    “Should we run?”
    Huddled together
    Our weapons are scattered
    “Let’s keep praying
    Let’s keep hoping”
    Nowhere to turn
    “Where is the sun?”
    Just then we sight
    A little light
    A faint ray
    That heralds day
    We smile for joy
    Like a little boy
    “Here is a sign
    The sun will shine”
